According to the American Writers & Artists Inc, (AWAI) article titled What is Copywriting?, copywriter definition is “the process of writing advertising promotional materials. Copywriters are responsible for the text on brochures, billboards, websites, emails, advertisements, catalogs, mobile phones and more.” 

"A salesman in print" is another way to define what a copywriter does. That’s because copywriting persuades the reader to take action. Actions include purchasing, opting-in or engaging with a product, service or company.

What is SDLC?

SDLC is the systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodology that information technology professionals follow. The SDLC phases are as follows…

  1. Project identification and selection
  2. Project initiation and planning
  3. Analysis
  4. Design
  5. Implementation
  6. Maintenance

 Project identification and selection addresses the information needs of the entire organization. Analysts proactively identify which projects will best meet the needs of an organization. The organization’s information system needs may result from requests to deal with problems in current procedures, from the desire to perform additional tasks, or from the realization that information technology could be used to capitalize on an existing opportunity.

During the project initiation and planning phase the preliminary formal investigation of the system problem or opportunity takes place. During the second activity, analysts will present reasons why the organization should or should not develop the system. A critical step at this point is determining the scope of the proposed system.

An analyst thoroughly studies the organization’s current procedures and the information systems used to perform organizational tasks during the analysis phase. During this phase, the analysts work with the users to determine what the users want from a proposed system and the system requirements.

During the design phase the analysts convert the description of the recommended alternative solution into logical and then physical system specifications. Logical design is the part of the design process that is independent of a specific hardware or software platform. As part of physical design, the analyst designs the various parts of the system to perform the physical operations necessary to facilitate data capture, processing and information output. There are many ways to do this, including creating a working model of the system to be implemented, to writing detailed specifications describing all the different parts of the system and how they should be built. 

The system is tested and then put into use during the implementation phase. Implementation includes coding, testing and installation.

The final phase is maintenance. When a system (including its training, documentation and support) is operating in an organization, users sometimes find problems with how it works and often think of better ways to perform its functions. In addition, the organization’s needs with respect to the system change over time. In maintenance, programmers make the changes that users ask for and modify the system to reflect changing business conditions. These changes are necessary to keep the system running and useful.
